 Henna aftercare

For the darkest stain it is important to follow good aftercare of your design.

Try to leave the paste on your skin for as long as possible. The sugar in the paste helps this step, however in dryer climates or winter months, you can also apply a sugar and water sealant. Keep paste on for a minimum of 8-12 hours.

After the time is up, SCRAPE your design off, apply coconut or olive oil and avoid water for at least 24 hours. Your stain will be a bright pumpkin orange color at first and will mature to a deep mahogany within 48 hours.

Jagua Aftercare

Unilke henna, jagua is easier to take care of. Jagua gel or paste only needs to be left on for a minimum of 5 hours to develop a stain. Once removed your design will be faint, but not to worry, similar to henna the stain will mature within 24 hours to a blue/black stain.

extend the life of your stain

To keep your beautiful stain vibrant for as long as possible keep it slick! Use natural oils like olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil to keep your stain moist and to create a barrier against water. Your stain will gradually fade with the natural shedding of the skin.
